WHO IS JULIAN MICHAEL?

BE UNDEFINED.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA.  When I was nine years old, I saw most of my neighborhood burned to the ground during the L.A. Riots.  After that, my mother basically kept me in the house until I went to college with a whole lot of white people in rural Massachusetts.  (Go Amherst Mammoths)!!

I entered college certain I was going to be a Baptist minister.  But somewhere along the way, I discovered I loved the stage -- and being gay -- more than the pulpit.

My new calling is to bring unfiltered laughter to audiences of all backgrounds, even the ones I don't seem to have anything in common with.

In 2017, I taped my live comedy album, Insert Token, with Uproar Records, the same label that recorded Richard Pryor’s first 12 albums. It can be heard on Sirius XM (Kevin Hart's LOL Radio and Raw Dog Comedy) and is available everywhere music is sold. I can also be seen in Out on Stage: The Movie, available on Amazon Prime, a feature film highlighting the diversity and talent within the gay comedy.

Speaking of music, I recorded and released my first single in 2023! Watch the powerful music video for Ordinary American Dream here

And I'm working on a new EP, Love After Love, coming out later this year! The first single, Chemisty, premieres March 15. Pre-save here!

I'm a multi-hyphenate entertainer, stereotype buster, ordained minister (from the Internet, not the Baptist church), and recovering a cappella singer. I'm a work in progress -- unpolished Jules, if you will. And I'm excited to share my journey with you!
